A rather dull post announcing that my blog software has been upgraded to Wordpress 1.5 and all is working fine (to my knowledge). It has a fair few upgrades, such as nice theme control and a few modifications to the back end. The primary reason for the upgrade was to improve my defences against the tidal wave of ‘comment spam’ that a stupid online casino is throwing my way. The war against this new form of spam has only just begun. In our continued battle we shall not flag nor fail. We shall go on to the end. . . . We shall fight on the beaches . . . we shall fight in the fields and in the streets . . . we shall never surrender.

Although the year is still young, one of the finniest albums has been released. The band ‘…And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead’ have released ‘Worlds Apart’ and it isn’t the usual indy whine but a wall of noise, simply wonderful. Which reminds me Keane.. what’s all that about?!. The fat faced twunt sings ‘bed wetting’ music as a friend of mine would say. I can’t believe they won Best British Album and Best Breakthrough Act at the Brits, I mean come on! Surly (don’t call me Shirly) Franz Ferdinand’s eponymous album should have won the best album at least, not fucking Keane. I think the fact that I was forced to listen to them on Radio 2 over and over during the summer months at work has lead me to this conclusion. Anyhow, I digress… it looks like I’m of to see the Trail of the Dead in Manchester in a few weeks. Should be good. I’ll end this entry (rant) watching Joss Stone bury her career in an attempted duet with Robbie Williams. Christ this is painful, wasn’t she the one who warbled all over that Band Aid single at Christmas?
Trail of Dead song ‘Worlds Apart’ can be heard via these links. Watch out though it has some very bad language (hurrah!).

Good friend Laura is off running around Scotland this summer all for the name of charity, god bless her. Its for Raleigh International, who do some good work invovling kids and shipping them around the world, read a little more about it at their site. To bribe her to do crazy tasks such as canoeing, abseiling and other tasks that I couldn’t manage due to my irrational fears of heights, flying and fish you can give some money to the cause. Benefits in giving money to charity include a warm feeling inside and perhaps the knowledge that good things happen. Or if you are a little more sadistic, it’s worth giving money in order to put people through pain and agony Mu haha hhahhahhahhhaah.
