Jammie Doughnut Bites

Last night after a few soft drinks at the pub I really fancied a jammie doughnut. So with Teekai and Matt in tow I set out on pilgrimage to Tesco to get some sugary filled goodness. Tesco at 11:30pm is filled with students and shelf stackers (often one and the same), there I ignored the fruit and headed straight for the bakery. Unsurprisingly they were not making doughnuts fresh at that time of night (I see a market ready to be exploited), but worst of all, there was only one beaten up doughnut that was bleeding its vital jam juices. The horror, the horror. Inconsolable I searched around for anything slightly doughnut shaped. That was when I found a 12 pack of jammie doughnut balls (or bites) for the bargain price of 99p! I had to get them, not only to quench my jammie thirst but for the obvious comedic value of owning a box of balls.

Here are some pictures of my balls

My balls came in a handy cup, great for in the car.

This is one of my balls. Note how my balls don’t have any sugar on them, this was perhaps the most disappointing thing about my balls.

Look! My balls were filled with goo.

Strangely enough Teekai didn’t want to chomp on my balls. I think I will eat the rest of my balls by about 11am today.

Update: At 1:18pm I only have one ball.
Update 2: I have lost my balls!

tesco jammy balls are king. for lunch i only have £2 usually so tesco 25p baton, 1.39p bbq chicken breast and 35p value tesco colslaw(or 65p tub of hummus if i’m feeling extravegant) is my favoured choice, though sometimes i like pie and go for a fresh slice of of chicken/ham pie from the deli counter which depending on size/greed is usually about a quid.
